Our Commitment for a Masai Boarding School in Kenya

The Nürnberger Klinik for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery supports a Masai boarding school in Kenya which allows children to stay in school all year long.

The Masai are a semi-nomadic group who, during the biannual dry periods, drive their herds up to 20 miles through the wilderness in search of something to feed them, taking their children with them; but there is no road, no path, no bus to school, only wild animals. This makes it practically impossible for the children to go to school for two thirds of the year.

The Masai hence asked for help in building a boarding school for their children where they now can learn all year round and thus prepare to pass the national Kenyan final exams after completing the 8^th grade.

In 2019, the Nürnberger Klinik for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery supported the social highlight event of the Nuremberg metropolitan area as a main sponsor. The Nürnberg Opera Ball took place in September 2019. Again, the focus was on the good cause: Guaranteed 10% of all revenue as well as the entire revenue from the charity tombola went to charitable causes within the region.

As a main sponsor, the Nürnberger Klinik for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery provided a valuable contribution for the ball event and the support of the Nuremberg metropolitan region.
