Who may benefit from a brow lift?
When there are wrinkles in the area around the temples, and the eyebrows are sagging at the sides and appear tired, then a brow lift is well to be considered.
The brow lift can be performed at the Nürnberger Klinik for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery either by itself or in combination with a forehead lift or an upper eyelid tightening.

How do we conduct a brow lift?
We at the Nürnberger Klinik for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery conduct the brow lift in general anaesthesia; the treatment lasts about one hour. In the area of the temples above the hairline, an unobtrusive incision of about 3cms is made, and the upper layer of the skin (epidermis) is lifted from the subcutaneous layers. The skin is tensioned towards the sides and fastened to the underlying, more resilient tissue layer of the masticatory muscle skin. Usually, a slim strip of skin with hair is removed in the course of the brow lift.
Finally, the wound is closed carefully again using surgical staples.
What is important following a brow lift?
The brow lift can be performed on a walk-in basis, but for better observation, you can also stay one night with us at our clinic in Nuremberg.
Cooling dressings and laying the head in a raised position promote the disappearance of any swelling. The dressings are changed frequently, and the hair is washed with a disinfecting shampoo in order to prevent any wound infection.
After ten days, the surgical staples will be removed at our Nürnberger Klinik for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. About two weeks after the brow lift, you will be presentable again; you should, however, refrain from doing any sports or exercise for one month.
